Since Troy our International Account Manager joined us in August 2016 we have been in a record period of growth in expanding the REID community. Not only does this means more bikes sold, but more places sold, furthering our community continent by continent, country by country.
In case you’ve missed any announcements of where we have entered in the last year and a half, or you’d like to find a little bit more about our expansion an who we’ve partnered with, we’d thought you’d give the rundown on a few of the latest countries we’ve entered…
Dubai – In Dubai we are sold exclusively through Adventure HQ who offer the most unique customer experience I have seen in a shop. In each of their 5 store locations they have an “Adventure Zone” which enables their customers to Rock Climb, Trampoline, Skate in the largest indoor Skate park in Dubai, Parkour and also you will notice that above the shop floors you will see a maze of cable climbs enabling children to get their adrenaline pumping whilst you shop.
Canada – We had wanted to expand into Canada for a little while due to large amount of customer enquiries we were receiving from consumers out there. This spurred us to find a distributor who would be able to introduce the REID Bike brand across the whole of Canada. We had a number of interested parties but settled for STEP 4 Distributing Inc as we believe that strategically they were aligned with what we were looking to achieve.
Ireland – In Ireland we are exclusively sold through Cyclebike a Dublin based company who initially came across the REID Bikes brand at Eurobike. They then tracked us down and said they wanted to sell our bikes and it has just gone from strength to strength. They are about to open their second Dublin store and have increased the REID Bike order 300% year on year which is incredible.
France – France is famous for Cycling and therefore it had to be a country where we could establish a customer base. We therefore have partnered with US Line Diffusion who have a vast experience and great contacts within the industry to get our bikes in front of the consumer. We are very excited to see how the bikes are received in France and we anticipate great things.
Argentina – Aries Commercial are our Argentinian distributor and have a proven track record of introducing new brands into the Argentinian market. We anticipate our bikes to be well received and we have seen photos of our bikes being put through their paces first hand which is a brilliant testament to the build quality.
Hungary – The owner of our exclusive Hungarian retailer previously lived in Sydney and this is where she learnt about REID Bikes. She was so impressed with the brand that when she moved back to her native Hungary she set up a shop called “Sydney Biciklik” to introduce our brand to the local market.
South Korea – In order to become a truly global brand you need to be represented worldwide and therefore we worked hard to find an Asian partner to introduce our bikes to the local market. We approached Watts Cycling as we knew they were well backed and had a great presence in the South Korean bike scene. We anticipate our bikes to be very popular in South Korea and can’t wait to see some photo’s showcasing this very soon.
