Tell us a little bit about yourself
My name’s Jonny, and I live in Poole on the south coast of the UK, where I live with my girlfriend and 2 dogs Stanley & Rogan. I love to travel, having been to over 30 countries (pre pandemic) and can’t wait to be able to see more of the world! I love photography, and also have a keen interest in formula 1 and rugby – getting to as many games and races as I can!
How did you get involved with Reid?
Back in 2015 when Reid first opened their international office, I was the UK sales exec, travelling around the uk selling Reid bikes to independent bike shops. Having moved away into another industry, I always kept an eye on Reid, and when this latest role came up, I jumped at the opportunity to get back involved.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
Day to day dealing with customers. My role is very much about building strong relationships, some of which turn into friendships, and developing that is the best part of what I do.
Where do you see Reid going in the future?
The sky’s the limit! Reid are an incredibly dynamic company and able to move with current trends. I feel that the advances in E mobility, and the range we already have in this sector, is going to mean really big things for us in the future.
What does an average day in the life look like?
Client calls, spreadsheets, researching potential new customers – no day is the same! Every customer has different needs, so ensuring everyone is happy and has the information they need, when they need it, is the main part of my role.
What type of bike do you ride?
I have a Falco Elite road bike, and also a really incredible single speed that we didn’t end up taking on, so it’s a one of a kind Reid!
What advice would you give to non- or novice cyclists out there?
Get out there! Cycling is not about having the best or the most expensive. It’s about getting out there, getting mobile, and enjoying it. Reid’s range caters for all budgets, abilities and activities, so there is something for everyone!
