We have a very special Reid Rider this month. 4 year old Tige, from Australia, has told us all about her pink birthday bike and learning to ride it. Keep reading to find out more about her bike beads, dinging bell and training wheel advice.
My Name is Tige Willow Handcock, I am 4 and a half years old, I love making new friends, playing and collecting shells on all the new beaches I get to go to and learning how to ride my bike with my dad.
When and how did you get into bike riding?
I started when I was about 1, When I got big I got my pink Reid bike. I tried to ride it without my training wheels but I started to wobble and then saved myself on my foot, so I have to have my training wheels on to keep practicing.
How did you get your hands on a Reid?
I got it for my number 4 Birthday because I was getting so big, I was soo lucky Mum, Dad and my little sister Cove saved up and bought it for me.
Which Reid bike do you ride?
I got a pink one and it’s very big and has a dinging bell that sings very well (girls classics 16″ vintage)
How has it treated you?
Yes I love my bike so much because when I go on Rides with my Mum I can put toys in the basket on the front and I put cool beads on my wheels.
What have you done and where have you been with it?
The best place I have got to Ride my bike is on Rottnest island and I also have taken it right around Australia so lots of amazing places like the Ningaloo Reef.
Do you have any other future adventures planned?
We are going to do lots more of Australia and keep taking my bike hopefully I can take it to Alice Springs next time and ride on the red dirt.
Finally, what advice would you give to those who are considering getting into bike riding or perhaps have never tried it before?
