In December, our new office got a creative boost when the talented local artist, Lucan Art, turned one of our plain walls into an amazing mural that captures Reid’s 14 year journey. When we moved into our freshly renovated office space, we knew we wanted to fill one of the plain white walls with something that resonated with Reid and our entire journey until this point.

The local Bournemouth artist, Miroslav, took on the challenge with energy, and we couldn’t help but be amazed as he turned our plain wall into a colourful masterpiece. We were truly mesmerised watching Miroslav create this piece and couldn’t wait to share the transformation with you all.

Beginning with James Reid, the founder of Reid, the mural takes us back to where it all began. The artwork brings back the early days setting the stage for Reid’s journey. It’s a cool reminder of how far Reid has come from its simple start.

This leads into Reid’s first Melbourne store opening in 2010, to Rob Akam joining the team, to the expansion of 3 stores across Perth, Sydney, and Melbourne, alongside our new website being launched. It was an exciting time for Reid’s growth, marking just the beginning of an awesome journey ahead.

Moving further along the timeline, Miroslav captured our first bike sale in the US in 2015, which was one of our older fat bike models. The detailed precision in the drawing is amazing and really does resemble our older fat bikes. Shout out if you remember these or even have one yourself! The art brought back all the nostalgia from these older models, reminding us of what truly kickstarted Reid’s global journey.

The mural also shows how Reid has ventured across the globe, expanding and reaching new countries over the years. The artist painted three accurate globes to highlight our expansion into new regions like the US, Europe and more – all huge milestones for Reid and key to our international growth.

Moving into more recent years, Miroslav’s art highlighted the moments we introduced brand new, iconic product ranges, with the goal of helping people get from A to B. This included eScooters, Watersports, and our eCargo range. We were all amazed by the precise attention to detail on these products – they looked just like Reid’s! Lucan Art did an awesome job.

We’re thrilled to share this awesome mural with everyone. The talented artist didn’t just paint a picture; he made our office feel like a part of Reid. The mural is like a virtual high-five to the challenges we faced, the goals we reached, and the amazing community that has grown around Reid. We want to give a big thanks to Lucan Art for transforming Reid’s journey into a vibrant burst of colours.
