Tell us a little bit about yourself

Hi, my name is Ryan. I live in Hampshire originally hailing from Ireland. I grew up spending all of my free time in the mountains climbing and on my bike. I have a real passion for adventure in the outdoors and traveling as much as possible.

How did you get involved with Reid?

Having only recently joined, I applied for the role as I have a huge passion for all things cycling and given my previous roles in sales and product management it seemed like a great fit and an amazing opportunity to be part of such a great company with great people.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

Every day I get to talk to people who share my passion for everything cycling, it great to be part of a community that are striving to help people get around and have fun in an environmentally responsible manner.

Where do you see Reid going in the future?

I am super excited about the future here as there is so much opportunity to grow the brand globally, and to be part of that growth is exciting. Being part of a great brand growing is a dream come true.

What does an average day in the life look like?

I am up super early (6am for me anyway). Get into the office and start helping our partners with new orders and finding new opportunities in the market to grow the Reid global brand. Then gym and then home to my fiancé and our cats.

What type of bike do you ride?

I have several different bikes, from road, gravel, MTB and a dirt jumper. Currently the MTB and the DJ are getting the most use, the dirt jumper is really helping me push my mountain biking skills to the next level.

Finally, what advice would you give to someone who doesn’t cycle, or is new to cycling?

The entry level into cycling is so affordable, the best bike is the bike you have. Get out there and just go cycling, there is no judgment. The community is great and supportive. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and talk to other bikers.
