Reid Bikes Limited are looking for an experienced, professional, and knowledgeable Product and Warranty Assistant to join their team. This is a specialist role within our team, for someone with in-depth bicycle knowledge. The successful candidate will be supporting the Product Manager on product development, and handling all warranty matters for Reid.
Reid Bikes design, manufacture and distribute bikes, eBikes, scooters, eScooters, and watersports leisure products to 30 countries around the world from our established factories and supply chain in Asia. We do this under our own Reid brand as well as designing and manufacturing for other brands. We have a strong and passionate team that has helped the business grow significantly over the last couple of years, and need another strong team player to help us to continue on our journey. It is more important now than ever to ensure we are developing the best products in the market for our network of distributors around the globe as early as possible. Service and warranty support is also vital to our partners around the world, as service is one of our three key pillars of our business.
The successful candidate will be working alongside our Product Manager, supply chain team and Managing Director. The primary roles and responsibilities will be:
Product Assistant Responsibilities
- Breaking down BOM’s to less technical marketing descriptions
- Answering customer questions communicated through marketing department
- Assisting with colour selections and paint colours as agreed with all stakeholders
- Organisation of files and technical documents relating to product development
- Ensuring all bikes are photographed
- Filing product files and images when they come in and sharing with Marketing Dept
- Chasing all models on Sample Tracker each week to update Product Manager
- Checking and filing all QC reports sent by our team in China and suppliers across Asia
- General support of Product Manager
Warranty Support Responsibilities
- Working with key accounts and distribution partners globally for product and warranty support
- Making suggestions for product changes based on feedback from our partners when discussing warranty matters
- Administration of warranty matters in Prospect365 software for Reid Bikes Ltd
- Administration of warranty matters for Reid Cycles Pty Ltd (Our Australian retail business)
- Monthly reports and credits with key suppliers for Reid Bikes Ltd and Reid Cycles Pty Ltd
- eBike diagnostic advice – In control of manufacturers diagnostic software and communicating fault codes
We are looking for someone who is experienced in this field, with a strong knowledge of bike product and remote communication of suppliers them via third party assemblers. We need someone who can slip seamlessly into our growing team, adding value and experience where we need it as a business.
