Ladies Classic 7- Speed
Lisa (@hauugtussa) is our Reid Rider of the month for December!
Lisa is our Reid Rider of the month for December on her Ladies Classic 7-speed after catching our eye on Instagram with her breath-taking photos of her bike! We caught up with Lisa to find out more about her and her adventures on her Ladies Classic…
Introduce yourself… (A bit about yourself, where you’re from, etc)
My name is Lisa and I’m 24 years old. I am currently living in a small village between the mountains and the Fjords of Norway. Here, I’m working as a baker in an artisan bakery. I love traveling, music, hiking and of course cycling!
When and how did you get into bike riding?
I’ve been cycling since I was a kid. It has been my way to get to school, shop and now work. I also enjoy going for small trips along the Fjord just to get some fresh air and see some beautiful sights.
What made you choose the Ladies Classic and particularly a ‘Vintage’ bike?
I always wanted a bike that would stand out. I love everything retro, vintage and colourful! This bike was the perfect choice. I’m the only one in the village with this bike and I feel like queen!
Is this your first ‘Vintage’ bike?
How has it treated you?
I am very happy with this bike and so far I’ve had no problems.
What have you been up to with it and where has it taken you?
I bring my bike everywhere. From a ride along the Fjord, to a trip from the local supermarket. I even brought it with me once to pick nettles to make a nettle soup. The greatest adventure has to be when I brought my dog with me. She loved sitting in the basket. It was so lovely!
Do you have any other future adventures planned?
I would like to bike down Rallarvegen. It is a 100 year old man-built transport road. I would be cycling next to the high mountains, waterfalls and fairytale like views! This road ends in the village I live in. It will be my summer goal next year.
What advice would you give to those who are considering getting into cycling or perhaps have never tried it before?
Just go for it! It is such a nice way to get around and also a great way to be active. If you haven’t tried cycling I recommend that you give it a try! You might love it as much as I do.
Finally, as it’s the end of 2020… what is your goal for 2021?
My goal for 2021 will have to be to take the pastry chef exam/diploma. I am a baker but I would like to have both haha!
