This month we welcomed Kim to the Reid HQ team as our new International Account Manager. We’re excited for Kim to bring her experience in the industry, along with her passion for MTB riding, to the team!

Tell us a little bit about yourself

My name is Kim and I’ve just started at Reid as an International Account Manager. I love visiting new countries and meeting new people which is one of the reasons I love my job! I love getting out on my bike and showing people how much a bike can benefit your life. I also have a little Scottie dog called Chino who joins me on as many adventures as possible!

How did you get involved with Reid?

I’ve worked in the bike industry for a few years now and met Vincent in a previous role. I’d heard a lot of good things about the brand and also visited the booth at Eurobike which looked great. When a job opening came up, I went for it and luckily got the job!

What do you enjoy most about your role?

The best part of my role has to be speaking to people all around the world and learning about the bike industry in different countries. Seeing Reid bikes grow in popularity around the world and widen its reach is really exciting! I also love the fact I get to work with a great collection of bikes everyday! I’ve really enjoyed being part of the Reid team, ever since I’ve started I’ve been made to feel welcome and supported.

Where do you see Reid going in the future?

I see Reid being available in more countries around the world and more people enjoying the bikes. I especially look forward to seeing the eBike range have success in 2023, as eBikes are growing in popularity all round the world. My favourite eBike from the new range has to be the Sphinx II, I can’t wait to take it out for a ride soon! What does an average day in the life look like?

The start of my day is heavily dependent on who I have meetings with and where they are located in the world. I sometimes start my day early at around 7am for Asia, however if I have meetings later in day with South America, I work until later in the day. I have meetings with customers all round the world to catch up on the market and talk bikes! I also work with the rest of the team to help with any issues; it’s great to catch up with marketing on what brilliant new content they’re doing.

What type of bike do you ride?

I ride an electric full suspension bike for trails and downhill, it’s lots of fun! I also use it for rides down the beach and around town, the electric part of it makes rides easier and in boast, more fun!

Finally, what advice would you give to someone who doesn’t cycle, or is new to cycling?

Take a good look at the Reid range and find yourself a bike that suits you! Whether you want to use a bike to commute or to get out in nature, cycling can bring so many benefits to your life and health! I always feel better after a few hours on my bike in the forest and cycling down to the beach is always easier than getting stuck in traffic in the car.
